With Canon’s True Wide High Resolution 16:9 recording system, the DC301 records stunning panoramic movies, ideal for playback on widescreen TVs. Perfectly compose and preview your movie on the 2.7" 16:9 LCD screen. Or use the wide 0.35" EVF (Electronic Viewfinder) to conserve battery power.
DIGIC DV II for photos and videos
Originally developed for the demands of High Definition recording, DIGIC DV II offers faster processing speeds and advanced noise reduction technology. With split path processing, video and photos are processed separately, ensuring that the colours of each look their best.
LCD video light
The LCD screen doubles as a handy video light when turned to face forwards. Providing welcome illumination in dark conditions, it allows recording to continue when ambient light is poor.
Advanced photo capture
Perfect for sharing, still images are captured to SD or SDHC (High Capacity) memory cards. Beautiful photos can be printed directly on printers with a compatible memory card slot.
